Remove the plastic surround trim piece directly in front of the speedometer cluster (usually held by two upward-facing screws).
Open the doors to find the side panels of the dashboard. Pop these covers off to find the main mounting bolts on either end. Engine Bay Bolts:
Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Wait at least 20 to 30 minutes before touching any airbag components to allow the backup power capacitors to discharge fully.
Gently pull the dashboard towards the rear of the car, lifting it off the structural beam.
