If you’ve followed all but the charger remains idle:
Remove any white or green powdery corrosion from the battery posts using a wire brush or baking soda paste. Clean terminals ensure a strong electrical connection.
Lead-acid batteries emit highly explosive hydrogen gas during charging. Always operate the charger in a well-ventilated garage or outdoors. Keep sparks, cigarettes, and open flames away.
Do not use Boost mode on small batteries (motorcycle, lawnmower) unless specified. Check your battery’s max amperage.
As the internal lead plates absorb energy and build up their own counter-voltage, the battery's electrical resistance changes. You will observe the ammeter needle slowly migrating back toward the left over several hours.
