There are three primary methods to install the correct driver for your Benss fingerprint reader. We recommend trying them in order.
Often, the driver is tucked away in the Optional Updates section. Navigate to Settings > Windows Update > Advanced Options > Optional Updates and look for a driver labeled "ELAN Finger Print - Biometric" . If you share with third parties, their policies apply
If you are using Windows 7 or Windows 8, the automatic plug-and-play functionality does not apply. These older operating systems require you to download and install drivers manually from the Benss website. The driver package for Windows 7/8/10 is available on the manufacturer's download page.

Once your driver is correctly installed and Device Manager shows the device is working properly, you must configure Windows Hello to use it. Go to > Accounts > Sign-in options . Select Fingerprint recognition (Windows Hello) . Click Set up and then Get started . Enter your Windows PIN security code.
Right-click it and select (or Start if it isn't running).
