Many years later, Mephistopheles comes to collect his due. Johnny is transformed into the Ghost Rider, a fearsome, skeletal biker whose very touch can burn away the sins of the wicked. Tasked with hunting down the rogue demon Blackheart, Johnny must use his terrifying new powers to save the innocent and, hopefully, win back his soul.
While his father is cured, Barton dies shortly after in a motorcycle stunt accident.
